The Progressive Peoples MP candidate (PPP) for Effutu Constituency, Nana Ofori Owusu has taken a step further to improve the education of his constituents by offering scholarship to needy but brilliant students. It is imperative to state that his grandfather was a graduate of the University of Ghana and an educationist and his grandmother also opened the first all-girls vocational school in Winneba called Edra Hillard Vocational School.
In honor of these two individuals, he has instituted a scholarship scheme called Austin/Ghansah scholarship Award for brilliant but needy students in the Effutu constituency. This has started with Kings Academy and Rock of Ages in Winneba
