PPP HOLDS WOMEN LEADERSHIP TRAINING

Some twenty-two female leaders in the PPP were taken through a day’s women leadership training in Accra on 16th January, 2020 at the Coconut Grove Regency Hotel.

The purpose of the project was to enhance their leadership skills and empower them to project the party better in their localities. These ladies were mostly women organizers from some regions and constituencies.

The modules covered included Leadership, Messaging, Communication, and Fundraising which were delivered by Ms. Berlinda Bulley, and Ms Linda Sey.

Ms. Brigitte Dzogbenuku, the 2020 Presidential Candidate of the Progressive People’s Party took the participants through a session on “Empowerment”, and Ms. Adjoa Ampowa, the National Women’s Coordinator of the Progressive People’s Party delivered a session on “Identifying your strengths, and Business in Politics”.

This training was made possible through the partnership and sponsorship of the African Liberal Network, Westminster Foundation for Development, and Center for Policy Options.

Ms. Bulley and Ms. Sey who facilitated the event stated that they had benefitted from a Training of Trainers programme from the Africa Liberal Network and they intend to organize more of such programmes to cover all women in the PPP.

PPP wants the opportunity to implement an Agenda for Change when our candidate is made President of the Republic of Ghana and through an increased presence in the legislature.  This Agenda is built on four pillars – Stewardship, Education, Healthcare and Jobs.  We will implement the Agenda using the spirit of inclusiveness that will enable us to use the best Ghanaians; full participation of women and the youth; and above all a leadership that is incorruptible.  By dealing with corruption, we can double government revenue which we will use to pay for our transformational initiatives in education, healthcare and job creation.
