One of the Presidential Candidate aspirants of the Progressive Peoples Party (PPP), Mr. William Kofi Dowokpor filed his presidential nomination forms this morning at the Party’s Headquarters at Avenor off JA Kufour Avenue.

Mr. Dowokpor address the press immediately after the National Secretary Paa Kow Ackon received and accepted his nomination.

Paa Willie who is optimistic of beating former Vice Presidential Candidate Brigitte Dzogbenuku and two others who have also picked their forms indicated that he has what it takes to re-energise the grass roots of the party and send the party into victory in the upcoming 2020 Elections.

He bemoaned the NPP/NDC Duopoly which has rubbed Ghanaians of an opportunity for accelerated development which the country so dearly needs over the last 30 years.

He promised to build on the PPPs 10 point agenda to develop Ghana if he is elected as President. His government which shall all-inclusive with members from the PPP, CPP, PNC, NDC and NPP, will be constituted by less than 60 ministers. It shall make use of independent technocrats who shall use their technical know how to develop Ghana.

Mr. Dowokpor is a private Public Relations and Branding practitioner. He previously worked with the Public Relations office of the Ghana Institute of Public Administration (GIMPA). He has worked as a Marketing Manager for several Private Companies including EPPL and …. He comes into the race with many years of Experience as a former Director of Communications for the Conventions Peoples Party, a former Vice Chairperson of the PPP and a three time parliamentary Candidate in the Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency. If he is voted by the party as a presidential candidate, he will however step into the big shoes of Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom.
