Joel Kasim Apambilla was born on 25th July, 1985 at zebilla in the Upper East Region.

Between 2002 and 2005, he enrolled at the zebilla secondary technical school at Bawku west where he obtained senior secondary school certificate.

By dint of hard work, Joel won mathematics and science scholarship to further his studies at the University for Development studies and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Actuarial science.

Joel served as registration officer at national health insurance scheme in Zebilla and compliance officer at social security and national insurance trust (SSNIT) between 2006 and 2009.

Joel also worked at NHIS in Navrongo, and the Navrongo health research centre as a research assistant. He is entrepreneur managing his small scale capital business in Zebilla.

Joel held the following positions when he was a student at University of Development Studies; Student’s union president and vice president of society of actuarial science students from 2012 to 2013. Campus organizer of the NDC in 2012 but defected to PPP in 2013. He is contesting as PPP’s Parliamentary candidate for Zebilla Constituency.

Joel is alarmed by the rate at which preventable diseases are causing havoc and rendering many incapacitated in his constituency. He wants his people to give him the opportunity to combat and eradicate preventable diseases such as Malaria, elephantiasis and Cholera through education and provision of affordable and accessible health care. He is convinced his leadership will bring positive change to the people of Zebilla constituency
