My name is Jessica Manuel a vibrant, energetic and hardworking woman.
Jessica Manuel was born to Mr. and Mrs. Napoleon Kojo Otoo Manuel of Winneba at Korle bu in the year 15 May, 1967 and had her Primary education at happy home academy school at Attico Junction inAccra from 1972 to 1982. I had my secondary education at Takoradi Secondary School from 1982 to1987 and obtained my o level Certificate.
I enrolled to Domestic Science and Catering School for 3 years. I also attended Takoradi Polytechnic and
studied advance catering for two years and worked on part time basis at Super Hide out. After school I
worked full time as a sales girl for the cosmetic manufacturing company here in Accra for ten years and
married on 18th November 1993. I have 3 Children, 2 girls and a boy.
Jessica Manuel is the founder and CEO of Jessica Black Company. I specialize in Manufacturing cosmetics and house hold cleaning products with the brand name Adjoa GH, Jessica gold, Araba and Afreba using both foreign and local raw materials. I am the first to introduce pedicure kit to the market in Ghana which consist of Antibacterial liquid soap foot soak, foot scrub, foot mask, foot cream hand fresh liquid soap.
Jessica Manuel have marketed these products through hair dresses association of Ghana and some Ecowas countries like Togo, Benin, Ivory Coast, Burkina Faso and Nigeria. I organize workshops for these women training them on how to do hair treatment and pedicure treatment. I have had the opportunity to showcase my products in Ghana and outside.
I hold a certificate in leadership training and I have studied ICT at the Kofi Annan Centre. Jessica Manuel is a member of the Ghana Chamber of Commerce, National board for small scale industries. The head of a community susu collection and a treasurer for the Ghana Industrial and commercial Estate limited (GICEL) Tenants Association from 1996 to 2011. On the 9th June 2012 I contested as a Member of Parliament on the ticket of PPP.
