PPP 2016 at ofoasi ayirebi

Electorate in the Ofoase Ayirebi Constituency in the Eastern Region have declared their unflinching support for the Progressive People’s Party (PPP), ahead of the December 7 polls.

At a mammoth rally on Friday, August 12, 2016 held by the party in the constituency, hundreds of the electorate who had come to the rally ground could not hide their excitement and desire to have the PPP take the reins of government, come December 7, but dance to some of the tunes of the PPP, saying “this is the party to save Ghana from the present economic hardship.”

Addressing the enthusiastic crowd, 2016 standard-bearer of the PPP, Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom, explained what a wasted vote was.

Contrary to what people have been saying that a vote for the PPP constituted a wasted vote, according to Dr. Nduom, a spoilt vote is rather a vote “you cast and at the end there’s no good drinking water, you have diseases, and above all, dumsor, dumsor.”

The PPP presidential nominee also used the occasion to introduce the party’s parliamentary aspirant, John Obiri Yeboah, to the electorate.

To this end, he urged the gathering not to waste their votes on political parties that cannot help the country but vote for the PPP to bring economic relief to them.

Earlier, the running mate of Dr. Nduom, Brigitte Akosua Koshie Dzogbenuku, admonished the people to make a wise decision by voting for the PPP.

According to her, a vote for the PPP would bring about total transformation in the lives of Ghanaians.

For his part, the the party’s parliamentary aspirant, Mr. Obiri Yeboah, urged his constituents not be perturbed about the present economic conditions, “because change was coming.”

‘Obiri 1’ as his supporters call him was optimistic that he will annex the Ofoase Ayirebi seat for the PPP and equally increase the presidential votes of Dr. Nduom.

He promised the electorate that if they give him their mandate the community will have two factories established for them by Dr. Nduom.

“If you help me [Obiri Yeboah] to win this seat, and Dr. Nduom as President, he [Dr. Nduom] will put up two factories in this community, and I will also add two to it to make it four,” he reassured, amid applause from the crowd.
